The invention relates to an array for tracking detection of electric control motors with incremental position detection, specially in adjusting motors in motor vehicles, in which evaluation electronics is provided to determine the position signals (2, 3) from position transmitters. The determined status (5, 6, 7) of the position signals or the status of the position transmitters are stored in a non-volatile memory after turning off (4) the motor. The evaluation electronics can be partially disconnected from the distribution voltage. Said evaluation electronics is fitted with a buffer action, which is sufficiently large in order to enable position detection and storage after disconnection of the evaluation electronics from the distribution voltage. The non-volatile memory can be an EEPROM in the microcontroller of the evaluation electronics.
